Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Wheeler's Ultimate Classroom Library Experience!, a project from Mr. Wheeler (2)

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration becauseit supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been teaching high school English for 8 years, and I have seen firsthand the transformative power of books. This year, I’m on a mission to help my students discover the joy of reading on their own terms—whether it’s escaping to a world of vampires, battling alongside Greek demigods, or finding inspiration in the story of a favorite athlete.

I have been provided with a "starter kit" of books to kick off this initiative, but we are a Title 1 district and funds are tight.

To bring my dream of a welcoming and engaging reading area to life, I'll need some help with the organization and decoration aspects.

With your support, we can provide my students with the tools they need to fall in love with reading. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference.

Thank you so much for your consideration. Your generosity means the world to me and my students!
