Where is the entrance to SUMMIT One Vanderbilt? ›

SUMMIT ENTRANCE IS LOCATED UNDER THE ICONIC VANDERBILT AVENUE. Enter through the transit hall in Grand Central Terminal (head west if in main concourse). Alternatively, use the doors next to TD Bank located in One Vanderbilt. SUMMIT is not accessible through the main lobby of One Vanderbilt.

Best time to visit Summit One Vanderbilt

The best time of the day to go is an hour before sunset. That way, you get both golden hour and nighttime city light views from the skyscraper!

Shirt and Shoes required. We recommend wearing pants, shorts, or tights to avoid exposure on the reflective surfaces. Guests are required to wear a shirt and shoes at all times while on the premises. Offensive or threatening language and messaging on apparel are not permitted.

Tickets are required for everyone visiting SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, except children ages 5 and under who visit for free. Walk-up tickets are also available onsite at our welcome desk, however, certain timeslots may sell out due to high demand.

SUMMIT features many reflective floors. We recommend pants, shorts, or tights if possible. Wear comfortable, non-marking shoes. Stiletto heels, work boots, cleats and certain other footwear that can damage flooring are not permitted.

What is Summit One Vanderbilt's bag policy? The observation deck allows nothing larger than a standard backpack, purse, or messenger bag. Large suitcases, trunks, wheeled duffel bags, carry-on bags, etc are prohibited.

Definitely recommend giving it a try the different rooms are cool cool! SUMMIT One in NYC: A Sky-High Delight for All Ages. This attraction is not only a visual treat for the adults but also captivates the younger ones. My kids, aged 5 and 2, were especially enchanted by the balloon room.

Entrance timings: You can enter SUMMIT One Vanderbilt from 9 AM to 11 PM every day, except on Tuesdays when it remains closed. Average wait time: The wait time at this entrance is 45-60 minutes after you reach One Vanderbilt.

To maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all Guests, late arrivals will be asked to wait until the next available time slot. We will do our best to get you in as soon as possible.
