Maybe he'll get some time in the 2nd half.

I doubt it, but then I didn't think anyone really expected him to play in either game did they?

He'll be on second half. Roy likes to try out most if not all his subs during a friendly.

Foster will come on if anyone. He won't sub his keeper twice without an injury.

If Foster get 45 mins today that could mean AM will get 45 against Brazil.

Agreed. Didn't see the line up and didn't know Foster was also on the bench

Hodgson hinted McCarthy might not get the chance to make his debut, however, as he looks to use on the players he is likely to rely upon in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Asked if McCarthy could play, he said: 'Not necessarily no. I regard them as preparation games rather than friendly games.
'I'm more interested in this squad to give the players who I think might be more important to us in the qualifiers in September and October a chance to really play."(I don't want) a situation where in every game you are trying to use 18 players instead of playing long periods and instead getting a 15-20 minute cameo.'

Brazil game supposedly called off, looks like he'll remain uncapped for a while.

He looked nervous before the match yesterday in training, Joe Hart was saving everything, McCarthy let 3-4 easier shots in, in succession...

Foster dropped a cross in the match and got lucky. What is he doing in the England squad anyway? I thought he had burnt his bridges!

Back on. Not sure how safe I'd feel as a fan though if I were going... Place sounds like a wreck.

Couldn't handle Capello's tough regime but now his mate Roy's in he made himself available.

I actually agree with that logic whereby you don't involve loads of different players through 20min cameos.

He looked nervous in his first senior league appearance for us. And again in his first game for us in the PL. So this wouldn't surprise me. It's a bit of a bummer as he's unlikely to get many chances at International level if he looks nervous when he gets a start. But if he does get a run of a few games, I'm sure he'll quickly settle in and become confident.
