Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911. KDP was one of the first discipline-specific honor societies. Its membership is limited to the top 20 percent of those entering the field of education.

Since 1924, 293 eminent educators have been named to Kappa Delta Pi's Laureate Chapter. To become a member a student must be a Undergraduate student who majors in Human Development or minors in Education who maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher or a Graduate student who is obtaining a Master's degree in a discipline of Education who maintains a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
