Compared to other AP classes, only half as many test-takers score a 5. However, that does not necessarily make AP World History one of the hardest AP exams. Instead, the difficulty depends a great deal on your teacher and school.

The most common grade in APUSH is a “B” with a significant number of students earning a “C”. The percentage of students earning an “A” in the class tends to be less than ten percent. The rewards of an AP class are substantial. Students will learn much more history than in a college prep class.

With a score of 3 or higher, most accredited universities will allow you to either skip lower division classes, subject requirements, or waive requirements all together. This means that you could graduate a year early from a state school if you pass multiple AP Exams, saving thousands of dollars.
