12, is the result of a study by a committee of four master plumbers appointed by the Plumbing Appeals Board. Second reading is expected Jan. 26. According to City Manager Robert M. Tinstman, the new ordinance is similar to ordinances now in effect in such cities as Waco, Lubbock, Dallas, Houston and Fort Worth.

E. Perrin Dies. Here ANSON (RNS) John Ely Perrin, 80, resident of Eastland and Jones counties since 1898, died at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene after a brief illness. Born 15.
1880 in Bradley County, Mr. Perrin moved to Eastland County at the age of 18, and married Lucy Myrick there on March 19, 1905. They moved to Truby community in 1916. Mrs. Perrin died in 1927.
On June 10, 1928, Mr. Perrin married Mrs. Mary Coates and they had lived in Anson since then. Funeral was to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Anson First Baptist Church, with the Rev.
J. N. Easterwood, pastor, officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery east of Anson will be directed by Lawrence Funeral Home. Surviving are his wife: two daughters, Mrs.
Charles Jeffrey of Anson and Mrs. Camma Farmer of Big Spring; two sons, J. B. and Frank Perrin of Morton, while twin sons died in infancy; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Hiram Narum of Fort Worth; two half brothers, Henry Perrin of Ranger and Carl of Sundown; one half sister, Mrs.

Thursday's big events will be the afternoon receptions for the governors of the nation and the gala show presented that night by Hollywood stars, headed by Frank Sinatra and his wardrobe.
The inaugural ceremonies will be at noon Washington time (11 a.m. Texas time). The parade will be Friday afternoon, directly after the new President and Vice President take office. The inaug. ural celebrations will be climaxed Friday night by the three official balls, at the Armory, and at the Mayflower and at the SheratonPark Hotels.

Africa produces the world's best ivory. LORAINE (RNS) John W. Tipton of 5114 Encino Abilene, was hospitalized here with a broken leg and lacerations received in a car-truck wreck Tuesday morning on U. S. Highway 80 about a mile east of Loraine.
Tipton, a salesman for the Inc. oil field service firm of Abilene, was hurt when his car was in collision with the rear of a truck about 9 a.m. Both vehicles were westbound. Highway Patrolmen Wendell Rehm and Buddy Hertenberger, said the truck driver, T. 0.
Wood of Fort Worth, was unhurt. The truck, loaded with sucker rods, belonged to Liberty Manufacturing Co. of Fort Worth. Tipton was brought to Johnson Hospital here by Kiker and Sons ambulance of Colorado City and was taken later to St. Ann Hospital in Abilene.
